The 11½ perf self adhesive stamp (on the left) can be easily distinguished from the 10¾ x 11 perf stamp (on the right) by the style of the corners of the die cut perforations - 'line' for the 11½ and 'comb' for the 10¾ x 11. The 10¾ x 11 stamp variety originates solely from dispenser boxes of 100 stamps while a limited number of the 11½ perf self adhesive stamp were issued to Post Offices in sheets for use on First Day Covers. Dispenser boxes were on sale until 1994 and a variety of backing papers were used over those three years.

The self adhesive dispenser boxes had extra labels included at strategic places to warn when the stamps were running low.
